Remuera is an upmarket area of Auckland, NZ.
In this site, membrane installation was a serious safety issue due to limited access on a tight site. MARKHAM consultants were brought in at a late stage to offer a solution to this challenge. This was not without its initial detractors, and the architects the architects were hesitant.
MARKHAM was able to assist with a holistic three-part system. The concrete itself was made waterproof by means of AQURON 300 admixture and AQURON 2000 spray-applied treatment. The penetrations and joints were sealed with CONQOR 47B delayed swell waterstop gasket.
The construction team were very pleased to find a holistic cost-effective approach that met the safety issues.
Due to the performance of this basement, the architects have become advocates for this system.
