In the late 1980’s, the asset management team at Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport approached Aquron Corporation, with a request for a two-in-one ‘Paver sealer and joint stabilizer’. They were looking for an environmentally friendly product to protect pavers from jet fuels, as well as stopping joint sand loss from jet blasts.
In 1990 Aquron Corporation released Aquron® Environmental Paveset™, and proceeded to seal the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport taxiways. The taxiways were assessed nine years later and had required only minimal maintenance in that time.
Seals, Protects and Preserves
Environmental Paveset produces an oil and water repellent surface, that is easy to clean and maintain. Sealing the joints and the pavers as one eliminates weeds and protects from oil and other stain sources. Environmental Paveset provides a low sheen appearance, enhancing the paving’s natural colour.
Joint Sand Stabilization
Environmental Paveset stabilizes and bonds the joint sand to the pavers. This prevents erosion by weather or vehicles. The joint is stabilized to at least half the depth of the paver.
